Announcing Kiss the Tiger

We’re excited to announce that Kiss the Tiger will be opening for Joan Jett on June 1!  If you aren’t familiar with them, look them up on Spotify or YouTube and give them a listen!  Complete bio below:

Kiss the Tiger emerges as a force of electrifying rock and roll, led by the magnetic presence of Meghan Kreidler. With a fusion of raw energy and theatrical charm, they ignite stages and souls alike, transcending mere performance to create communal experiences. Their anthemic hits like "Motel Room" and "Hold On to Love" have become local staples, resonating with audiences far beyond the confines of their Minneapolis, MN roots. Seamlessly blending elements of punk, new wave, and feminist alt-country, their music pulsates with authenticity and innovation. With their latest album, "Vicious Kid," Kiss the Tiger continues to push boundaries, delivering a sonic journey that captivates and inspires.

Monday, March 25, 2024 SCHEELS arena and The Essentia Health Fargo Marathon are proud to announce that Joan Jett and the Blackhearts will be performing live at SCHEELS arena on Saturday, June 1.  Tickets go on sale Thursday, March 28 and can be purchased through or the SCHEELS arena box office.

Dubbed “America’s Best Small-Town Race,” the Fargo Marathon is an annual week-long event, attracting thousands of participants from across the United States to North Dakota. Seven total events, from the full and half marathon to a 5k, Furgo Dog Run and Cyclothon will be held from May 28 through June 1, 2024. The concert caps off a week-long celebration commemorating the 20th anniversary of The Fargo Marathon. The concert is also a tribute to the late Mark Knutson, the former race director of the marathon who tragically passed away in July of 2023.

Joan Jett grew up during a time when rock ‘n’ roll was off limits to girls and women, but as a teenager, she promptly blew the door to the boys’ club right off its hinges. After forming her band, the Blackhearts in 1979, with whom Jett has become a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, she has had eight platinum and gold albums and nine Top 40 singles, including the classics "Bad Reputation," "I Love Rock 'N' Roll," "I Hate Myself For Loving You," and "Crimson and Clover."

Joan Jett and the Blackhearts continue to tour the world with headlining shows and alongside fellow rock legends like The Who, Green Day, Heart, Foo Fighters and Alanis Morrissette (Summer 2024). 'Bad Reputation,' a documentary about Jett's life, premiered to critical acclaim at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. Following up on the band’s 2022 release Changeup, its first-ever acoustic album, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts’ EP Mindsets was released as a Record Store Day First vinyl piece on November 24, 2023. Mindsets is available to stream now.
